I recently read in an article that there will be a major collapse in Christianity within ten years. I wonder if one reason that may occur is the way current Christians act today.I use public transportation to get to work, and one day wile riding the bus I noticed the words that were on this man’s shirt. It said “Be still and know that I am God.”.I don’t know for sure if he is a Christian, but if he was, I found his behavior on the bus to be troubling.A neighbor told me about this Christian man she works with, who recently had a baby with a women out of wedlock.

I admit I am not perfect. Throughout my life I have done some very “un-Christian” things. I have not always walked the walk.

How do our actions look to unbelievers? I was told when I was young that people are watching you. unbelievers are looking at our actions, not necessarily listening to our words. When unbelievers look at our behavior and we act badly, they ask, “Why would I want to become a Christian?” There are too many Christians out there who don’t walk the walk. Our actions show people where our heart is.

In the Book of Genesis, it talks about Noah being an innocent man. He was not perfect. He made mistakes and sinned at times. However, the Bible says he walked with God, and he pleased the Lord. Noah walked the walk, and was rewarded. He and his family were saved from the flood.

We are all sinners. We make mistakes from time to time. The question is, “Are we trying to walk the walk?” A youth pastor that I knew when I was younger talked about our “fatal flaws” These are our personal struggles; the areas in our life where we are the weakest. What are your fatal flaws? No matter what they are, Jesus can change us if we ask him for help to overcome those things that are not pleasing to him. As Christians we need to be working on our fatal flaws. In life we are never going to be perfect, but we need to persistent in trying.

How do we walk the walk? How do we rid of our fatal flaws? The first thing I recommend read the Bible on a set schedule (click on Need help tab for a schedule). I have found that reading through the Bible was an act of obedience for me. I felt it showed the Lord that I am serious about my relationship with him, and it helped me grow in the knowledge of him.

Prayer is vital to growing in our faith. Pray for the Lord to change you and rid you of those things that are not pleasing in his sight. Pray help to you overcome your fatal

I have also found that fasting helps me to set aside time and focus on the Lord. I don’t expect to hear him tell me things, or look for a surreal experience, but setting a time to be alone with the Lord, is an act of obedience. In the days and weeks following, I have seen him move in areas of my life.

God made us all different, and we each face different struggles. God created you and knows you inside out. Only he can give you the strength you need to grow in him and to walk the walk he has set before you.

The purpose of this website is to help people walk the walk. Instead of turning our fingers at others, lets turn them at our self’s. Let’s focus on the areas in our lives that we can grow in the Lord and be a witness to those around us.

My desire is to walk the walk, and I want to encourage others to do the same. Changes happen as we walk through life. As the Lord allows me to grow in him, I pray that I will be able to share that wisdom and knowledge with you.
